Finsbury Park

The apartment was refitted and redecorated from end to end, with a wide dark oak-effect plank floor laid throughout to tie the rooms together and recessed directional downlights set into every ceiling.

The kitchen and living room share one space. Handleless units in pale grey and white run along a chocolate-brown feature wall under a warm quartz worktop with a wood-effect upstand, with a built-in Bosch double oven, an induction hob and a breakfast peninsula facing back into the room. The living end is calmer: a teal velvet sofa against white, a walnut sideboard on the dark wall, and full-height glazing onto a balcony planted with an olive tree and grasses. Where two windows meet at the corner, a small dining spot was made with a view north across the rooftops.

The bedrooms and the study each take a colour. One bedroom is sage, with a fruiting foliage wallpaper behind the bed and deep green curtains at a full-height window. The study and the spare room are a soft blue, with mirrored sliding wardrobes that carry the daylight back through the plan and keep the narrower rooms feeling open.
